Duisburg/Neuss, 01.04.2025 — Startport, the leading innovation hub for logistics and supply chain management, is pleased to welcome M. Zietzschmann GmbH & Co. KG as a new partner. The Cooperation Aims, Among Other Things, to Further Develop and Establish Innovative and Digital Processes in Bulk Goods Logistics — Another important step towards strengthening the Rhine-Ruhr region as a leading logistics location.
M. Zietzschmann GmbH & Co. KG is one of the pioneers in bulk and general cargo logistics in the Rhine-Ruhr region. The company is actively contributing to CO₂ reduction by increasingly shifting freight transport to environmentally friendly modes of transport such as inland waterway vessels. Zietzschmann is also focusing on renewable energy: From 2019 to 2020, a 9,000 square meter photovoltaic system was built on a warehouse, which makes a significant contribution to climate-friendly energy generation. ISO 14001 and Green Logistics Certification were added in 2023. This sustainability strategy is now being further expanded through the partnership with startport — with digital solutions that are intended to further improve the efficiency and environmental balance of logistics processes.
